BOOK NAME:- Rebuke The Wind - Epic African Terrorist Thriller!
AUTHOR NAME: - Trip Mackintosh
Epic Of Courage And Determination Set In Africa. Young Girl, Captured By The World's Most Lethal Islamist Group, Escapes, And Rescues Fellow Hostage. All Proceeds To Charity. Be Part Of This Meaningful Cause!
ABOUT THE BOOK
Epic in its scope, the novel begins in France, moves through the United
States, Iraq, Morocco, Nigeria, and Cameroon to sweep into the Arab Gulf
and the source of terror financing. At the center of the story is Isa, a remarkable
14-year-old who, having been kidnapped by Boko Haram, defies the terrorists
with her own escape and her rescue of a Frenchman also held hostage.
The novel gives a vivid portrait of her courage, faith and determination as she
confronts seemingly impossible odds. Providing texture to the story are brave
US, UK and Indian private security teams, seemingly soulless child soldiers of
Boko Haram, the corrupt Nigerian military, Saudi terrorist financiers, Kenyan
money-launderers and the international politics of terror.
Rebuke the Wind is a tribute to the people of the Sahel, particularly the young women, victimized by Boko Haram and largely unknown to Western readers. Its style is simple and fast, accessible to adult and young adult readers.
REVIEW:
Rebuke the wind is an inspiring and ultimately, hopeful novel but it presents a cynical view of the realities of terrorism, driven and facilitated by money. not ideology around the only party fictionalized account of ISA, the 14-year-old heroine kidnapped by book haram. The author reveals the mechanics of terrorist financing, corruption, political machinations, and motivations that allow this horror to happen.
